Accredited Master Team Coach
Executive Team Coaching is a principal part of your work and professional identity. You are an established practitioner, with around five years’ experience, good professional development and you meet the accreditation requirements.

Executive Team Coaching is a principal part of your work and professional identity. You are an established practitioner, with around three years' experience practising as an Executive Team Coach and you meet the accreditation requirements.

Established practitioners who meet full APECS Professional Standards for Master Executive Team Coach Accreditation. Accreditation is designed for experienced, established coaches, who wish to be part of an experienced peer community. APECS Master accreditation is increasingly recognised by corporate buyers as a confirmation of best practice and experience. It indicates that those who hold Master accreditation are committed to on-going CPPD, supervision and professional training which is relevant to the practice of Executive Coaching.
Criteria for Master Team Coach Accreditation
Applicants need to demonstrate extensive team coaching experience, typically over at least five years; and that team coaching is a principal component of their working practice and professional identity. This relates to their normal working practice, however team coaching on a voluntary basis is welcomed as appropriate experience.
They are required to provide portfolio evidence to include -
Professional standards of learning together with any formal, recognised qualification in a relevant subject, or portfolio evidence of an equivalent level of professional standard of learning relevant to team coaching -
Understanding and application of ethical and boundary management considerations in coaching
At leastf five years’ executive business experience personally in line management and / or consultancy, in addition to experience as a Team Coach
Articulate a detailed rationale / philosophy of their practice and model of working
Evidence of and commitment to Continuing Personal Professional Development, including individual supervision
Demonstration of an interest in and some manner of contribution to the field
Reflection on and evaluation of professional practice
Acceptance of and commitment to abide by APECS Ethical Guidelines
Undertaking to comply with UK requirements or those governing their geographic area
References from 2 referees and a statement from their supervisor confirming supervision
Appropriate for -
Certified Professional accreditation is suitable for developing team coaches with an established practice and for whom executive team coaching is a significant part of their working practice and professional identity. It can serve as a point on the path to accreditation. The professional and educational standards are the same as for Masters accreditation, as are the requirements for CPPD and supervision.
Criteria for Certified Professional Executive Team Coach
Applicants need to demonstrate extensive executive team coaching experience, typically over at least three years and that executive team coaching is a significant component of their working practice and professional identity. This relates to their normal working practice, however coaching on a voluntary basis is welcomed as appropriate experience.
They are required to provide portfolio evidence to include -

We define Executive as having ‘a level of leadership responsibility (financial / operational / people) and / or responsibility for policy formulation and / or who makes a senior level individual contribution in the organisation’.
APECS refers to CPPD by including the term ‘personal’ in the normal use of the phrase as a way of emphasising how it is often a very personal choice people make about how they continue to develop themselves.
